Drug Intervention

Intervention Description and Process

You don't have to do it alone. Many times family and friends try to approach the addict about their problem by themselves, with no success. In most cases it is crucial to have a third party involved. The third party member should be a professional who is educated and qualified to guide a drug intervention. Intervention Treatment is dedicated to being that third party of professionals, and we are waiting and ready for your phone call.

What is a drug intervention? By definition, a drug intervention is an orchestrated attempt by one, or often many, (usually family and friends) to get someone to seek professional help with their drug addiction. The sole purpose of Intervention Treatment is to offer a solution, and program of drug intervention and recovery for those afflicted with addiction. The ultimate goal of a drug intervention is to enable the addict to escape from their seemingly hopeless addiction. It is our mission to aid in the loving rehabilitation of the addict, as well as the family and loved ones who have endured the emotional roller coaster that comes with drug addiction.

We understand that Drug addiction is a horrifically trying experience for everyone involved. Having said that, we would like to make it very clear that THERE IS HOPE. Everyday there are thousands of people undergoing a profound transformation of heart, thought, and attitude. Drug intervention allows the addict to overcome their addiction and go on to lead happy and productive lives amongst their family and loved ones. Having the right intervention professionals to guide and direct the recovery process is vital. That is where Intervention Treatment comes in. The process of Drug intervention, followed by a proven recovery program, launches the addict into a new way of life.

So, what is the process? Our drug intervention process has been finely tuned after years of experience. It has been transformed into a simple outline for a very complex matter.

  • Pick up the phone. The first step in the drug intervention process is for you to pick up the phone and dial our number.

  • The Consultation. The second step is for one of our professional drug intervention experts to consult with you. The goal of the consultation is for us to collect all of the necessary information about your individual situation, the person we are going to be intervening on, the addicts' history, and any other information necessary to create a unique drug intervention.

  • Who is going to be involved? This step is very crucial. We need to make a wise selection of people to be involved in the actual intervention process. This could be anybody from Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, best friend/s, girlfriend/boyfriend, etc. The best way to make this selection is to review the addicts' history. Who has our friend been the closest to over the years? Who has he/she felt the most secure with? Who would this person turn to for help with any other problem?

  • Outline the drug intervention. This portion of the drug intervention process is where we plan the actual intervention. This includes the planning for one of our drug intervention experts to come to you, making arrangements with a treatment center (should our friend decide to accept help), planning the dates that the drug intervention will take place, etc.

  • Let's make it happen. This is the step that includes the actual drug intervention. Once the preceding steps have been completed, including the consultation, one of our drug intervention experts will come to you the day before the intervention. You will meet with our expert and prepare for the following day. This includes a rehearsal, and reviewing what you and the other intervention members (the intervention members will be decided upon in the consultation step) will say to our friend. At this point our expert will coach you on how the drug intervention should be performed. They will guide you on "dos" and "don'ts", and prepare you for a variety of different scenarios that could potentially unfold.

  • Begin to heal. Should our friend make a decision to accept help, they will then go off to the treatment center. They will be transported and accompanied on their trip. It is at this point that the recovery process begins for the addict as well as the family and friends. We will be available to you throughout the entire process of the treatment. We will mentor you through the process, be available for questions, as well as guidance on what YOU should do, now that our friend is in treatment and thereafter.

Please keep in mind that this is by no means an easy process. There is a lot of work and emotional healing involved for everyone. However, if you are reading this we are sure that this process is long over due. We are waiting anxiously to here from you. Our drug intervention experts are standing by, ready to create a well thought out drug intervention that is personal and unique to you and the person you are trying to help.
